WE HATE YOUR HAIR

gravelghosts asked: I live in Palm Springs, soon it will be warm and Springy here, perfect time for change. My hair is fine, straight and dark dark brown (almost black). Currently, I'm working with a grown out long layered bob, I like it, but I think the cut makes my face look big. (Photo on tumblr-only now its 2+ inches longer). Would adding some long face framing bangs do me any good with this lengthen? Or should I just leave it and get some color in my life?

side swooping bang, and side part.  BOOM problem solved.

this will also grow out really nice when you get sick of the bangs.

Anonymous asked: What type of woman can pull of a buzz cut?

i think anyone really.  it can go either way.  if you wear makeup and dress real cute, then it is a very strong and powerful feminine look.  if you wear hiking boots, well take a wild guess.  also, it can easily push you over into hippy granola territory as well, so be careful with that.  but, i love when any sort of woman has a buzz cut.  such a look and statement, no matter what.

Anonymous asked: Hi Wesley! I'm kinda satisfied with my current hair (dark brown, chinlength bob) but at the same time I feel like it looks really plain and boring. Is there anything I can do to make it look more interesting and stylish like color or eek another haircut? Already had the bangs for years and just finally grew them out, for reference Im tan and I have brown eyes, and straight hair. Thanks!

if you have access to a vidal sassoon, they can TURN A BOB OUT.

vidal sassoon

take a gander around there, and just find an image you like and go for it.  sometimes these haircuts require a lot of upkeep, because once they start to grow out they loose their shape.  but their fun!

Anonymous asked: What are your thoughts on Sun In?! I have dirty blonde hair, kind of ombre right now, about midway down my back. I wear it wavy/hippy.

it has come a long way since the 80/90s and works a lot better.  if your hair is already light it will bring out some of those highlights a little faster.  don’t use too much of it, otherwise you will get that orange look.  good luck and happy summer.

Anonymous asked: Are Mason Pearson hairbrushes worth it?

100% worth it.  i can’t live without mine.  make sure you let the brush graze your scalp with every stroke.  this loosens up the natural oils on your scalp and is distributed throughout the rest of your hair.  this helps with shine, and fights frizz.  ONLY BRUSH YOUR DRY hair with a mason pearson.

Anonymous asked: Hi so when I don't have the funds or time to get my roots done I use John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray. Is this completely ruining my hair, even more so than when I get my highlights done?

no!  as far as i know, this is just a spray on powder… right?  totally harmless and great for skipping shampoos!

Anonymous asked: What do you think of grey hair (on young people) as a trend?

i like it!  i think this falls under the category of pastel hair, so the trend is kind of over… but i do love some gray/ashy hair!
